Just a quick text update for those who are into learning touch guitar (with me and a great group of other players). 2023 is the 3rd in a series of year-long touch guitar courses. There are about 5 open spaces, including one that's partially sponsored by another participant.![]()

Here's the basic info on this year's "at-a-distance" video course. Write to me to confirm your participation, or with any questions you may have. ![]()

The course will start on January 31st and will conclude in the 4th week of December. The minimum contribution per person is 680 EUR but can go up to 3000 EUR, depending on what you can afford for the whole course/year. It's encouraged that you start with everyone else, but joining later is also possible without any problems. ![]()

Despite the wide range of topics, this course is for beginners as well as advanced players. There's something in there for everyone, and you can pace yourself as you like. I will be available via email and Slack at all times.![]()

Here's an overview of the topics that we will tackle:![]()
Chromatic Bracket: Level 3 (8 adjacent chromatic notes on 1, 2, and 3 strings), Chord voicings (focus on the 5th tuning), Grandfather exercise![]()
Improvisation: "Harmonic" and "Free"![]()
Playing Bach: Monophonic pieces, fingering according to chromatic bracket studies![]()
Extended Techniques: Approaches and exercises for slides and string bending![]()

There will be about 30 video lessons plus Zoom meetings and my constant availability. ![]()

Tony was mistakenly expecting to receive a U8, as he's only seen Markus play an 8-string. So he had the "funny" idea to compose a piece with the instrument as soon as he takes if out of the case, and wanted to call it „U8 it all". 😉 But he found a 10-string U10 with the same tuning he uses on his other tapping instruments. He was happy, but the pun did not work anymore. He then proceeded to record his parts for TENtacles by Stick Men.![]()
